Clinical Supervision for Mental Health Counselors & Marriage and Family Therapist Registered Interns
Our qualified supervisors at Life Changing Strategies, Inc believe that proper clinical supervision is the key to a mental health professionals success. Our supervisors utilize multiple approaches and measures to ensure that supervisees are equipped to be competent mental health professionals.
Our main supervision goals are to:
1. Promote supervisee's growth and development;
2. Protect the welfare of the client;
3. Monitor supervisee's performance and serve as a gatekeeper the profession; and
4. Empower supervisee's to self-supervise and carry out the goals of an independent professional.
The State of Florida requires master's or doctoral level clinician's to complete 2 years of registered internship to be eligible for independent licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) or a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT). During this time, the registered intern must be receiving regular supervision from a Florida board-approved qualified supervisor. Supervision can be provided either weekly/bi-weekly, depending on if you have a full- or part-time caseload. The registered internship is a lengthy process, and graduate school has been expensive thus our aim to provide quality, flexible services at affordable rates.
